What is Just Rest?
- Just Rest
- We believe "There can be no dreaming without rest; there can be no rest without justice." The artists of Just Rest create tangible reminders of our need to support shelters and places of rest in their work for compassionate justice. Omaha artists Leslie Iwai, Kjell Cronn and Peter Cales are working In collaboration with Mosaic Community Development's SupportWorks program. Each artist will oversee the fabrication of a series of art objects made in multiples that reference domestic objects. Community volunteers will work hand-in-hand with the artists, and SupportWorks clients - individuals who are homeless, near-homeless or at-risk for homelessness - creating art and building relationships together.
